A man from New Jersey, Tom Turcich, and his dog Savannah, walked around the world for seven years. They covered 48,000 kilometers across six continents and 38 countries. Tom started this journey after his friend passed away when he was 17. It took him eight years to save and plan before leaving on April 2, 2015, just before his 26th birthday.

He had a stroller to carry his things, like a sleeping bag, a laptop, a camera, and food. Four months into the trip, he adopted Savannah from a shelter in Texas. They walked about 30-40 kilometers each day, camping most nights. They even took a boat from Uruguay to Antarctica.

After a break due to illness in 2017, they resumed in 2018, facing challenges like being stuck in Azerbaijan due to COVID-19. Finally, they walked back to New Jersey from Seattle. Now that he's home, Tom wants to stay put for a while and write a book about his adventure.
