World's Heaviest Strawberry

A big strawberry from Israel is now in a special book. It is the world's heaviest strawberry, weighing 289 grams. Chahi Ariel's family farm grew it near Netanya in Israel in February 2021. They waited a year to know it's the heaviest. The weather was cold, so the strawberry grew slowly and became very big.

İsrail'den büyük bir çilek şimdi özel bir kitapta. Bu çilek 289 gram ağırlığıyla dünyanın en ağır çileği. Chahi Ariel'in aile çiftliği bu çileği Şubat 2021'de İsrail'in Netanya kenti yakınlarında yetiştirdi. En ağır çilek olduğunu anlamak için bir yıl beklemişler. The strawberry's called Ilan, a kind that usually grows big. But this one is five times heavier than normal. Ariel kept it in the freezer for a year. It is not as pretty as before, but it made them very happy. They are now in the Guinness World Records. The old record was from Japan in 2015, a strawberry weighing 250 grams.
